Allen Scott have designed a number of SuDs systems that reflect the landscape use and character of the site. This example, developed with the drainage engineer, attenuates and stores run-off as a series of linked swales and ponds. Each have carefully graded profiles and planting to meet capacity requirements whilst being attractive and offering recreational and biodiversity value. Designed as part of open space delivery the system complies with planning requirements for open space provision, adds to net gain and increases green infrastructure links to the existing network of water courses, fields, hedgerows and woodlands.
