Extensive study of the existing Ravensbourne corridor and the potential for comprehensive improvements across a range of biodiversity, recreation and accessibility aims leading to development potential on adjoining derelict and under-used land.Principles were established through the creation of a green infrastructure guide for future enhancement and site specific designs developed for major public open spaces and known re-development sites. The project extends public links from surrounding residential areas into the green route corridor. Additional links to existing spaces and retail centres also provides the potential for increasing cycle and walking connections across this part of London. Proposals included a series if strategic connection improvements and identification of mircro and macro projects as part of the holistic strategy. A
delivery methodolgy was established including identification of outline costs protential funding bodies and realistic timetable for delivery.
