Wembley W01

Appointed by PRP, on behalf of Quintain Estates PLC, Allen Scott was commissioned to prepare a design package for the external courtyard space at Forum House, the first phase of the 85-acre Wembley City project, one of the UK’s largest zero-carbon, mixed-use developments.

Constructed on a raised deck over undercroft parking, the design carefully considered the practical and functional requirements of bicycle storage, waste disposal, security and emergency access with the creation of a high-quality private space. The design incorporated a raised elliptical lawn with surrounding planting, and seating for communal use and decked private patios for private use defined by adjacent raised planters, hedging and screens. Materials were selected that were sympathetic to those used in the external finishes of the apartments and spaces articulated to allow for ease of circulation.
