Canterbury Connected
Allen Scott were commissioned by Canterbury Connected to provide a holistic and comprehensive strategy to enhance the historic City Centre of Canterbury. The scoping exercise report included a series of critical analysis of the fabric of the City Centre, together with an understanding of planned public realm enhancements across the city. These reports helped join the jots between multiple organisations, such as the city council and the university.
A townscape assessment focusing on key buildings, public spaces and the links between them was undertaken as part of a project to promote continued investment in Canterbury City Centre making it a vibrant, exciting, well connected and successful place to live and work. The assessment aided discussions with the BID team and local stakeholders leading in identifying aims and opportunities for delivering on-the-ground projects.
