sheerness dockyard

A scheme to regenerate the derelict Grade II* listed dockyard buildings dating from the 1790’s. We developed sensitive landscape proposals reflecting the original layouts in support of a detailed planning submission for the refurbishment of the buildings for residential use. A comprehensive review of historical OS mapping and liaison with English Heritage informed a design that reflected and was sympathetic to the later 1840’s John Rennie layout which included formal lawns, a walled garden and floral gardens.
